Tropical Fruit Smoothie is a quick and easy smoothie to make. It is made from pineapple juice, a banana and a frozen tropical blend. The frozen tropical blend is pineapples, mango and strawberries. This smoothie is thick and satisfying.
The warehouse grocery store where I shop offered a coupon on a frozen fruit blend. I haven't made a smoothie for awhile and have been wanting to make one. So, I think the coupon was divine intervention telling me it is time to make some smoothies! 😉 At least is was a good excuse!
I found this smoothie recipe on the All Recipes site. It is titled All-Fruit Smoothies. I substituted a tropical fruit blend for the blueberries and strawberries but you can use your favorite frozen fruit. Because I used a frozen tropical blend, I changed the name to Tropical Fruit Smoothie.
When I was using my coupon, I saw there is also a frozen triple berry blend that uses strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. I plan on trying the triple berry blend at some point. I was in the mood for a stronger pineapple flavor this time, so I purchased the tropical fruit blend.
Jeff and I both enjoy smoothies and the flavor of pineapple. This smoothie is perfect for us because of the pineapple juice and banana, which are the stars of this Tropical Fruit Smoothie. The mango and strawberry flavors are mild. This recipe makes about 20-ounces for me, so it is enough to share with a special someone but not too much to enjoy by yourself.
Another drink that we like that also uses pineapple juice is my Aunt Jane's Red Punch. It isn't a smoothie, but it is a drink that will leave you wanting more.
I hope you enjoy the Tropical Fruit Smoothie!
