Hot Sesame Sticks
Hot Sesame Sticks are crunchy, peppery bites that are good served as an appetizer or with soups and salads.

Preheat oven to 400F.
Cream the butter with an electric mixer.
Add the flour, cayenne pepper, salt and oregano. Mix thoroughly.
Blend in the egg. The dough should look like cookie dough.
Add the Parmesan cheese and blend well.
Divide the dough into eight equal pieces.
Sprinkle a flat surface with some sesame seeds.
On the sesame seed sprinkled surface, roll each piece to make a long, finger-like strand that is about 1/2-inch in diameter. The strand will be about 9-inches long.
Cut each strand into six equal pieces, which is about 1-1/2 inches long.
Place each piece on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a light golden color.
Serve hot or at room temperature.
